Blood Beneath the Pines

Twenty-five-year-old Chloe Parker grew up in Wyoming on her father’s cattle ranch. And even though she loves the horses and the Rockies, she knows she doesn’t truly fit in. When she learns she has a grandmother in the Deep South, she longs to go. But, her first loyalty is to her father who depends on her to hold down the ranch while he is away on business.

Once Chloe makes the decision to go to meet her grandmother, Elizabeth Lee, her life changes forever.

She quickly falls in love with the elderly woman. Chole’s own mother passed away when she was a young girl and Elizabeth fills a motherly void. Elizabeth tells Chloe the story of Morgan Lee. The grandfather Chloe never had the chance to know. Yet, she loves due to Elizabeth’s description and musing of the days gone by. Chloe knows she has to stay long enough to help solve the mystery of his murder.

The ailing grandmother knows the killer is still very much alive and living in the Pines Community where Morgan was killed. Elizabeth knows he will not tolerate Chloe messing around and digging up the secrets that were thought to be long buried.

Elizabeth is right. As soon as the killer finds out Chloe is in Mississippi, he takes matters in his own hands and determines to shut Chloe and her grandmother out of his life forever.

A native Wyoming, Chloe won’t go down without a fight.
